Welcome to the website of

Bromsgrove Rail User Group

Bromsgrove railway station is situated at the foot of the infamous Lickey Incline, on the high speed cross country mainline route from the North East to the South West.

The original railway station was built in 1840, partly demolished in 1971 and modified by the addition of a second platform in 1984. However the facilities and train services needed significant upgrade for the 21st century.

Network Rail recognised this and in 2016 rebuilt Bromsgrove station in its current location with four platforms of 188 metres, which now allows six car trains to stop Northbound & Southbound. The completion of the electrification between Barnt Green and Bromsgrove enables the extension of the Cross City service, which will provide an additional 3 trains per hour.

This service is due to start on Sunday 29th July 2018

Bromsgrove Rail User Group is pro-actively involved in attempting to improve southbound rail services to Cheltenham, to access the long distance trains for Exeter, Plymouth and the West Country.
